Open daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
(Closed New Years Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
Admission is $2 | Children under 12 free.
Cameras are welcome.
Credit Cards are accepted with a minimum purchase of $5.00.
This is a non-profit organization donating a portion of proceeds to the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation.
NAVIGATING YOUR VISIT
Visiting The Big House Prison Museum couldn't be easier!
Using your favorite navigational means, make your way to 300 Prison Rd, Represa, CA. You will turn on Prison Road from East Natoma Street.
Follow Prison Road all the way to the Visitor Parking Center on your left. This is where you will park to visit the museum. Handicapped parking is available closer to the gate in the same lot.
Once parked, with your car secured, you will walk through the entrance gate and the museum is on your right. Visitors are not permitted on the road past the museum. Visitors are not allowed to carry any weapons (including concealed carry permitted weapons) on prison grounds.
The Big House Prison Museum is located on the grounds of an active prison.
